I met Candy in the 3rd grade at Serna Elementary, and we were fast friends from then on. We spent so much time in her pool that my hair turned green and fell out , and we must have set some sort of record for time spent playing cards and jacks. I last saw her in her adopted state of Hawaii about 15 years ago, and the time that had passed fell away as we reminisced (and made sure to see a Harry Potter movie!). Candy was a gentle soul always, and deserved more peace and happiness in this life than she got. Candy, you were a good person and a great friend. Moe i ka maluhia!

What a fun weekend!! The best part was connecting with friends that I haven't seen in a very long time!!!
